Louisa Walton, Head of Marketing – Construction, speaks about her time at dmg events.

 

What’s been your biggest achievement whilst working at dmg?

Working on the launch of HVACR Expo Saudi and being shortlisted for AEO Best Tradeshow Launch in 2016. Working on any launch event is difficult but a launch event in Saudi has its different challenges, so seeing all the hard work from the team pay off was certainly an amazing achievement.

 

What is the top trend in Events Marketing this year?

It’s not a new concept but something that is much more important now is the use of personalization and clearer segmentation of data. People are so busy now, so the more we can find out what they really care about and how we can tailor our messaging towards that the more likely they will be to respond. Also video streaming and live video content will be huge this year, along with video content is something we have to focus on.

 

What’s your favourite perk of working for dmg?

A big perk for me personally is being able to have a career as well as be a mum – the support and encouragement I receive from management to be able to do both is the most important to me.

 

In your opinion what attributes makes a successful dmg employee?

Hardworking, upbeat and passionate, displays leadership, but also modest and honest.

 

If dmg was an animal, what would it be and why?

An elephant – they are strong, intelligent, loyal, and unstoppable!
