dmg events appoints new Vice President of Energy Division

dmg events, an international exhibition company, has appointed Paul Wilson as the new Vice President of the company’s Energy Division for the Middle East. Paul will take over responsibility from Christopher Hudson who in turn has been promoted to President of dmg events – Global Energy.

 Paul will oversee the current portfolio based in the Middle East, which includes the region’s leading oil & gas event ADIPEC, Pipeline o magazine, as well as number of specialist energy related events including The Oil Barons Charity Ball. Paul will lead the current team based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai as well as being responsible for the expansion across the Middle East. ADIPEC, recently became an annual event and now attracts over 70,000 attendees, more than 6,300 delegates, 600 speakers, in addition to 42,000 net meters of event space.  Now one of the world’s most significant oil & gas events it is the must attend event in the Middle East.

 Paul has had a remarkable career to date that has included time with Reed Exhibitions, Advanstar Communications, IIR and most recently UBM. During the past twenty-one years he has crafted a career that has included overseas roles in Asia, Europe and the UK. He has significant experience across B2B events with specialised experience within Pharmaceutical, Medical and Oil & Gas. Over the past three years, Paul successfully managed UBM’s Pharmapack, MEDTEC, and Care Shows based in London. Paul previously managed REED’s Energy & Marine events, including the Offshore Europe event in Aberdeen.
