This course is designed to give drilling engineers and drilling operation teams the necessary knowledge of well pressure management while drilling, tripping and in static conditions.
By attending this course, you will get a thorough understanding that is crucial to manage well pressure if a kick takes place. It is imperative to stop the kick from developing into a well blowout.
This course is essential to all rig floor crew, rig management personnel and drilling engineers.
On completion of this course, you will have an in-depth understanding of well control, controlling the oil well when drilling into a high pressure zone, sudden encounters of abnormally pressurised zones and unexpected high pressure gaps in the formation.
The course is presented in an interactive format with ample detail from the instructor. Videos, discussions, last day review and course assessments will keep you engaged throughout. Supporting materials include a comprehensive manual, supporting PowerPoint and handouts. Videos will be used to support the presentation material.
Registration will be at 8.00 on Day One. The course will run for 2 days commencing at 8.30 and finishing at 14.30. There will be two refreshment breaks and lunch will be served at the end of each course day
