Introduction
This course is designed to further your understanding of drilling operations, elements and variables. You will discuss how drilling operations variables affect drilling operations and uncover the scientific side of drilling operations.
Mechanical and design engineers will have a better understanding of down hole environment and stresses which the tools they use and/or design are working under.
Drilling industry challenges, such as ERD, fast drilling, deepwater drilling and unconventional drilling methods will be covered as well along with the best ways to handle these issues.
Who Should Attend
This course has been specifically designed for drillers and drilling engineers, drilling managers, superintendents and supervisors, mechanical engineers who design down hole tools, drilling crew, general oil field design engineers, down hole tools design engineers, rig services engineers and support engineers.
Course Format
The course is presented in an interactive format with ample detail from the instructor. Videos, discussions, last day review and course assessments will keep you engaged throughout. Supporting materials include a comprehensive manual, supporting PowerPoint and handouts. Videos will be used to support the presentation material.
Course Timings
Registration will be at 8.00 on Day One. The course will run for 4 days commencing at 8.30 and finishing at 14.30. There will be two refreshment breaks and lunch will be served at the end of each course day.

Adel Bassal
Adel Bassal is an oil field veteran who worked in the oil field for over 30 years, 10 of which were on offshore drilling rigs. Then he moved to work for oil field services companies in high management positions. Adel is an inventor with 10 patents in his name for oil well drilling tools.
